Slider Card How To

There are several Slider Methods around - this is he one I favor. You are more than welcome to use your own slider method on slider cards featured on this blog or take a stab at this one. I will use the Easter Egg Slider Card as the example, but you can adapt it to any card.

1. cut 2 strips about 1" wide and about 2/3 the length of the card from your scrap card stock - make sure it's think card stock so that it will hold up sliding repeatedly. For the Easter Egg Card - 1" x 3.5"

2. Cut slits in each strip - about 1/4" in from the sides. Stop slits 1/2" from the bottom of the strip and 1 1/2" from the top of the strip

3. Cut a 1/2" x 1 1/2" strip of card stock. Weave this piece of paper through the slits of the longer strip.

4. Attach the small strip to the back of the card about 1/2" from the top of the card.

5. Fold the top of the strip over the top of the card and attach to the back of the sliding piece of the card.

6. Adhere a piece of paper to the back of the card to hide the sliding mechanism

Hopefully this diagram will help.
