Valentine's Day Card - OWH Unloved Card Supplies Challenge

I made this card from paper I never thought I'd use. I found my stack of "maybe later" paper for this weeks OWH Midweek Throwdown. It was a 6x6 sheet that came in a large pack - I really thought the stripes were just too harsh for a background on a card - and I don't know what in the world you could cut out of it using Cricut. I had almost resolved to cut the black strips out and use it up that way - but looking at it tonight I had another idea. And Bingo Valentine's Day Card!

Want to make your own?
You will need :
Black and White Striped Paper - with thick black stripes and thin white stripes
      Creative Memories Rotary Trimmer
      Plantin School Book Cricut Cartridge
      Creative Memories Precision Point Pen
      Creative Memories Tape Runner

1) Cut the 6x6 sheet down to 4.25 x 5.5 and then using the Creative Memories Rotary Trimmer.

2)Cut the edges of the stripes, stopping about 1/2" from the edges.

3) Using the Plantin School Book Cricut Cartridge, cut 6 1" hearts and 5 1/2" hearts from Red cardstock.

4) Tuck the hearts randomly underneath the slits in the 4.25" x 5.5" striped paper - so that the hearts are peaking out of the stripes and attach using the Precision Point Pen

5) Use the "Love You" Vertical stamp from "Hero Arts CL351" clear stamp set, stamping "love you" down the white stripes in black.

6) Flip the card front over, use the tape runner to make rows of adhesive along the cuts on the back of the paper - covering the tucked parts of the hearts - this will further secure your hearts so they don't sneak out.

7) Attach Card front to an A2 sized card
